The balance is disturbed and the Muna try to restore peace, harmony and balance in order to prevent the Tumult to calm down. As gardeners they prune where necessary and as weavers they bring order back to chaos.
"The world is connection and harmony."
Protectors of harmony
Many see the Muna as guardians of nature, maintaining the delicate balance between humanity and the environment while others regard them as hermits lost in the contemplation of the world around them. The fact is that few people have such a strong bond with the biomes they live in, be it dense forests or vibrant coastlines. If they were to describe themselves, the Muna would describe themselves primarily as practitioners of harmony, both within ecosystems and within themselves. Their understanding of the Skein, the network of energy that connects all things and beings, enables them detect potential instabilities and subtle variations within this network. If representatives, ambassadors and guardians of the wild ways, they use diplomacy, wisdom and sometimes violence to ensure that everyone thrives with respect for others. For them is the Rediscovery Endeavor an opportunity to strengthen the balance of all things against the disruptive influence of the Tumult.
For the Muna, the Spindle is unquestionably their chosen Bastion. It is an imposing world tree with gnarled branches rising high above a wild forest. With its striking pink leaves, the tree is visible from a great distance and provides shelter for an entire ecosystem. In the tribe the Muna built the Bark Refuge, one of nine refuges they have created within the nature reserve they are dedicated to to protect. The Spindle is sacred to this faction; it is the place where they communicate with conscious ones plants from the wilderness and where they celebrate the union of two beings when they conclude their essences and join minds together. When they join the Faction, the Muna take pieces of bark and root from the Spindle, weaving them together into a knot as a symbol of their bond.
